Lego Mini Figures

Hemet California Gains New Lego Shop
Without warning a new Lego Store “BRICKS and FIGS” popped up overnight at the Esplanade Retail Center across from Valley Wide Parks and Recreation. Offering Lego Products both old and new as well as individual pieces/elements. There are several unique sections to the store, my favorite was the household section where I saw the neatest minifig head salt and pepper shakers.
What is most interseting is the huge selection of individual Mini-Figures they have available for sale. Most are retired and extremely hard to find. Ranging from the Retired Batman Series to the current Star Wars Series there is a large round table in the center of the store offering minfigs for sale carefully packaged on a Lego display stand inside a clear protective display case.
Many of the Lego sets available have not been seen in years going back as far as the early 70′s, a true find for the Lego collector. One set we saw was the ‘Moon Landing’ that I had as child which now retails for over $300.00 or more. As we inspected everything being offered we saw a large number of customers coming and going with tons of treasures. There is a small play area for the children and even adults to sit and play with various Lego Pieces. Many parents were content watching there children build but a few jumped in to build something as well such as a boat or small castle/house.
The owners were on hand and explained to us that they had been collecting Lego ever since they were 6 years old and were finally able to bring dream of having a Lego store to life. BRICKS and FIGS is a true little gem and I am glad to see the valley finally offer something unique to residents. In the past one would have to drive all the way to Ontario Mills to obtain Lego or to LegoLand itself in Carlsbad, both over 1 1/2 away from Hemet.
Over the coming months we are told there will be numerous special Lego Events, starting with an Official ribbon cutting ceremony May 11th at the store. Several Brickmasters will be obn hand to ensure lots of building fun. With the number of children in the valley and there love for Lego I am sure Bricks and Figs will be here to stay. Please stop by for the ceremonyt and check it out for yourself, you wont be sorry.
